Cancellation Policy
Manuscript Review Service — Booking Policy By booking a Manuscript Review Service, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions: 1. Service Timeline (Once the client sends in their manuscript and receives a confirmation email) Note: Phantom Hollows will send a confirmation email after they receive your manuscript with specifics about review timeline. 2. Non-Refundable Booking All bookings are non-refundable. This policy ensures dedicated scheduling and preparation of review time. Transfers, cancellations, and credits are not permitted. 3. Word Count Limit This service includes review for manuscripts up to 70,000 words. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will incur additional fees (see Fee Schedule below). Additional word charges must be paid prior to review delivery. 4. Additional Word Count Fee Schedule For manuscripts over 70,000 words, the following rate applies: Standard Rate: $0.04 per additional word Discounted Client Rate: $0.025 per additional word Example: 80,000-word manuscript = 5,000 extra words 10,000 x $0.025 = $250 additional fee The discounted rate is applied automatically for booked clients. Overage fees will be invoiced and must be paid before feedback is released. 5. Submission Format Manuscripts must be submitted in: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), or PDF format Proper chapter formatting and pagination are highly recommended. 6. Delivery of Review Feedback will be delivered within the agreed window after submission. Delivery may include: Margin comments Structural notes Character, pacing, and plot recommendations Strengths and opportunities summary 7. Communication Clients may ask clarification questions via email within 7 days of delivery. Follow-up calls or extended consultation may require an additional fee. 8. Rescheduling Submission and completion windows cannot be rescheduled once booked. Failure to submit on time does not provide refund eligibility. 9. Scope of Service This review provides critique and developmental recommendations. It does not include: Line editing Copyediting Beta reading Proofreading Ghostwriting / rewriting These services, if available, may be booked separately.
